Your welcome. I'm a 5th generation Irish immigrant and was raised with a lot of pride about our Irish ancestry and the Cassidy clan stories and folklore. My grandfather's grandfather was the first Cassidy of our particular family/clan to come to the States and the story repeated is that one morning he went out for some bread and never came home but returned to Ireland.

It was typical from what I have been told for early Irish immigrants to state their birthday on a particular holiday. I guess so as when others were celebrating the holiday they would be celebrating the birthday as well. Well my grandfather was born on the 4th of July my dad on Valentines day and my granddaughter was also born on Valentines day. My daughter missed St Patricks day by one day being born on the 18th
