Hi Lisa, thank you for checking in and asking. House and life are starting to settle in, but our car died last night. We were hoping it would last for the winter, but looks like we will be looking for another used car. Ugh.
NOw I am wondering what is going on with the site...I don;t see any awards or stuff anymore and I bought something from the store (font color) and don't know how to apply it automatically to my profile. Maybe just a temporary glitch?
Thanks Lisa! He just hasn't done well at all since the procedure on Friday. Friday night and Saturday, I contributed a lot to the anesthesia and pain meds, but he just didn't get better, so I called the out of town vet and she wanted me to bring him to my normal vet for additional blood work (no change there). What is strange is his white blood cell count is not elevated and has never been. After the med change yesterday, he actually did act like he felt better. He had some "butt wiggles" when he got pets and he did chew on a toy for 20-30 minutes.....that is the most activity I have seen from him since last Thursday. He still hasn't gotten up this morning, but I will have to physically get him up and give him his meds soon. Your support through this trying time means so much to me. If these meds don't work, not sure what I will do
Yeay! I can respond to you now! You are creme de la creme of super awesome people. And what you do for the Bully breed is super wonderful. One of these days (I dont' want to think about it much), I'm going to need another Bully and you'll be who I go to. And I hope and pray that you'll have the perfect bully puppy for my family then.
Hi Lisa! Thank for checking on them. Chewy is doing great! Mayhem was feeling so bad yesterday, that I took him in to see the vet and I didn't get home until 7:30 last night. He was extremely lethargic and I hadn't eaten or drank anything at all, wasn't going to potty....nothing They have changed the antibiotic and prescribed a low dose diuretic to aid in removing some of the fluid from his lungs. Both vets concur that he probably needs steroids, but don't want to jump the gun......the first portion of the lab results will hopefully be in today or tomorrow and this will determine if they switch us to steroids. The second portion of the lab work will be in later this week and they hope that this pin points exactly which drug is needed to fight this. He looks pitiful, but the doctor gave me some "special care" canned food last night and he actually ate, so I am hoping he feels a little better today. He is still sleeping and won't come out of his crate.....worried about him
