  • Nice with Thanksgiving:D but somehow long weekends and holidays are more work than work, lol:blink: Sorry your hubby is leaving, that's never fun, especially when it's for long:(
He didn't come back:( I felt so bad yesterday night. But we went trough A LOT to try to get him to come back... we cut a big hole in the fence to the empty yard next to us to go look for him, found him in one of the trees and went to get ladder and peanuts to climb the tree, when almost there he flew away again into the next yard:fie: we RAN around the block and asked that neighbor if we could look for him and we found him again sitting on the roof a small building. When I tried to call him with peanuts he went again into the next yard and we followed like crazy people barging in on a pool party:eek: We found him there in a banana tree but he flew from there as well and from there we couldn't find him:*( Love that series of movies, haven't seen the new one, must make a plan to go see it. You're busy this weekend:) I haven't been fully unpacked either until this house. We've always had what I called a "crazy room" where random stuff just ended up all the time:tongue:
Yes, it is. Vet said there is no way it would have come up and passing did not look good either.... Going in was only option after the sce failed to to the size of it
Ja tell me about it... longest weekend ever:( I'm a bit pissed off with my hubby for not listening to me about the doors and the birds and I'm sad my lill boy is all alone out there in the dark:*( But the reality is it must be awesome for him to fly and be a real bird for the fist time in his life... I would have never gotten birds if it wasn't for the fact that these two needed a home and my hubby wanted them. I'm scared of birds and I'd rather pick up 10 dog poops over 1 bird poop, I also think they belong in the wild:mellow: but I grew to love that little funny bird, he talks a lot and he is so clever, just not very friendly. I'm gonna try to sleep now, it's almost midnight here. I've been sitting here waiting to see if maybe I could hear him talk or see him but I know birds are usually not flying while it's dark. It all sucks:( We only have a normal weekend so mine is half way over, first time in long time I've been looking forward to Monday.
Car is ready, got it back yesterday:) I'm glad I have a car again... even though I don't use it often it's nice to know I have it if something happens. Have had a rough start on the weekend myself, my bird flew away:cry: I'm worried sick and it's dark now so he won't come back, at least not today... Hubby let the birds out and didn't close the door to outside, he often does it cos the birds wings have been clipped, but it was now a while since we had it done and as it turns out my bird could fly perfectly:( I really don't know how I will ever sleep tonight. They say most of the times they find their way back but this bird we got as an adult, he didn't have a home, so he hasn't bonded with us as they do if you get them when they are young, so I don't know:unsure: I'm just so sad:*( I hope you'll get some nice relax time on your weekend break, I can understand if you need it, I get tired just hearing the neighbors kids in the distance, lol:tongue:
Yes, a stone. Our vet thinks it definitely was causing her a lot of stomach pain as her lining was very very irritated. I am going to add a pic of the stone to her thread. still can't get the xrays to post - :hissy:
I really can't believe she was not throwing up or showing any signs of having an object in her belly
I know I was starting to think I was only one Fromms didn't work for..but it's weird when I talk to people involved in rescues and at bulldog events not many of them use or push the Fromms...on here everyone seems to use it. I was putting pumpkin in his food and other things to make it right again..I really wantedit to work that's why I went with 3 flavors..but I'm packing it in And switching back..one night of his old food and his poop was better. I'm just worried the old food caused bad gas and tear stains so I'm hoping that doesn't return.
she seems to be doing well, she is not happy being limited to the basement. she likes to be on the leather sofa and she is just pacing like a caged lion, but i think she will be better as today goes on. Lewis and I are taking turns staying with her so she is not alone. We'll crate her when we go to work... she loves her crate and will lay in there even when we are home. She also seems to be in more pain during the night so we gave her extra Tramadol to help her sleep through the night.

thanks for checking in Tracey... really appreciate it
Yes I was having diarrhea problems and extreme itching and sheddng from Fromms pork and peas and then the beef frittata. The salmon was much better but I still felt his poop was too loose still. I've been mixing in his old food (natural balance l.i.d.) and it immediately got much better..so I'm not a big fan of Fromms but it seems to work for everyone else. Im actually going to finish this bag and not use it anymore.
