  • It is from when she jumped off my bed the day after my daughters graduation. I was in the bathroom and she got the zoomies. Jumped up and then off my bed quickly and that is when she did it. Took her to the vet that Monday but we couldn't see our normal one so they did xrays and she consulted with our normal vet and felt it was probably a torn meniscus and told us to rest her for 10 days and they would do a recheck with another xray. She seemed to be getting better and was limping less so we were going to tell them to give her another 2 weeks before doing surgery. At her recheck we got to see our normal vet and he knew right away after feeling and moving her leg that it was a torn ACL. To make my wife feel even better about his opinion he brought in our backup vet for a second opinion to which he agreed so they put her on the surgery schedule for yesterday afternoon. It makes me feel a bit more at ease knowing that we have more than one bully vet in the practice.
Thank you very much. Getting ready to head out to Colorado Springs. I just might stop at Ft. Cason while i'm out there. Looking at a note from 3/6/15...the supervisor who was giving me hell was terminated. Karma baby. What goes around comes around.

She is doing much better. She still has pneumonia but is being managed by meds. Her breathing has improved and she seems to have recovered from the surgery well. We are just having a really hard time getting rid of the pneumonia. Thanks for asking.
