@oscarmayer I am reading a book called DOGTRIPPING byDavid Rosenfelt. Something in the book reminded me of you and your wife.I have never heard it before, but perhaps you have.....
THis is what was told-A guy walking along the beach where thousands of starfish washed ashore, and would die if not quickly returned to the water. He began picking up the starfish one at a time, and tossing them back into the water.Another man came up to him and pointed out that with so many thousands of stranded starfish,he was wasting his time and effort. There was no way that one(two) person could make a difference.
The man responded by picking up another starfish and returning it to the water. "I made a difference to that one" he said.
As soon as I read that, you and your wife, were in my thoughts. You ARE making a difference.
We really have dialed back on how many we save. It used to be 50+ per year. But we simply aren’t able to keep that up anymore; but we do what we can and feel privileged that we can save any. Over the years Bulldog rescue has brought us together with so many great Bulldogs and great people. Our rescue family is far reaching. It’s FUN!
TY for the kind words.
