So I am wondering if I should feed the same amount per day of the Acana and HK? I think Acana is richer than Fromm??

As you know Duke and Louie are the same age n weight. Went to the vet yesterday and he weighs 30lbs, his hourglass is very on the perfect side but.....when he eats his hourglass turns into a "zero"! Pup's bellys are like ballons till they poop. You cant rely on the so call hourglass. That guideline is more for adults. Dont worry about that part if I were you. Duke eats 2cups a day. Plus other little goodies as a snack around lunch for both pups. Yesterday went out to get raw rabbit, bison, tripe, chicken necks for their snacks n 2 more marrow bison bones. Duke is still on Acana Cobb chicken . Just put him back as he was eating when I got him. More to see where his hives comes from.

I find out yesterday why he has them coffee bean size red seeds in his poop. Its a blossom shrub on my neighbour's side on the "front" side. Birds are eating the seeds, flies to my other neighbour's lilac trees that hangs over my property n poops their seeds. Might explain Duke's hives. Or maybe not lolll idk!

The eyelashes are definitely a possibility as to what is causing the tearing. I do remember at the first vet visit the vet saying to watch for excessive tearing. I am going to get the new food either Thursday or Friday but maybe I will make a vet appointment anyways for a week or so out and then if for some reason there is a change, I can just cancel it. If it is the eyelashes, maybe there will be some that can be plucked. And if he needs surgery, hopefully it could wait until he is 1 and then get it at the same time as when he gets neutered.

I am going to look into getting an e cloth. It would be nice to have something specific for wiping his folds rather than a cotton pad or tissue every time.

This is all new to me since Jax doesn't have the deep eye folds that a EB has.

keep in mind, teething also causes excessive tearing

Does it? Ugh...I did not know that. He just lost another tooth over the weekend. Him and Jax were playing and then Jax had blood on his face so I started freaking out. Turned out Louie lost a tooth so it was just his blood that got on Jax. Whew!

Well, it will be nice after the vet visit to either rule in or out the eyelash part. I've instructed everyone to make sure they dry his folds a few times a day.
