I've had the pallet surgery experience but not both.... first day they are fine and usually sleepy, but after that they feel no pain and are ready to go. soft food for about 3-5 days. Keeping the calm is the hardest

Thanks!

Yes! Especially, Nitschke, the difference was instant. Keep in mind, this does fully eliminate the issues, it lessen stress and allows a clearer airway.

Cheli our Frenchie needed two surgeries before he got relief from sleep apnea

Cone should not be a problem. Most Vets insist on the hard plastic cone. We attach ours to the collar and slide it off when the patient eats and drinks. Slide it right back on when done. We also used duct tape to cover the outside edge of the cone...makes it much better on furniture and the shins. Breathing should be immediately improved and will continue to improve as swelling diminishes. Eyes alwys look much worse than they are. All healed up in 10 days!

Pretty early to tell as she just had it done yesterday. All seems well. This doctor is the houston bulldog vet and probably does 6 or more of these a week.

Hey beautiful!!

Yes? O, you mean pebbles. Haha.

Pebbles is doing great.

My toy American Eskimo had surgery yesterday to remove a growth on his ear and have teeth cleaned. What a nightmare. He is 16 yrs old and was breathing heavy on he way home at 6. At midnight we took him to emergency clinic.

We were there til 3:30 as they put Jim in an oxygen unit and gave him some drugs to calm down. Got home at 4 and he slept til 6 am woke us up coughing.

We calmed him til vet opened at 9 and took him to original vet. They have him some drugs to calm him and gave him oxygen.

We left there at 11 and picking him up at 2. I'm tired.

X-rays show he may have aspirated.

Unfortunately we had to put him to sleep yesterday. He was 17 yrs old and in pain. He aspirated and the vet sent him home when they shouldn't have.

I'm a little upset with them and myself as it was just an elective surgery to remove a lump on his ear and clean teeth.
