It's been difficult, that's for sure. She goes in for another bandage change tomorrow. Last night I took her out of the crate to go outside and she squatted to pee, then when she tried to stand back up she faltered and started dragging her entire casted leg. I freaked out and picked her up, brought her in the house, and the whole splint/cast fell off! I couldn't believe it. It's like it just slid off. She immediately stood up on all 4 legs and was walking with no limp. I'm excited because hopefully that means it's healing appropriately. But, I'm bewildered as to how the cast slid off! Regardless, she goes back in tomorrow so they'll probably put it back on her for another 2 weeks. For now, she's still being crated so she doesn't reinjure herself! I know we can't wait for the whole ordeal to be over! Thanks for checking in on us
