Hi just wanted to tell you Duke's eyes are 100 % better since we have been giving him the drops!!! so happy! hope you enjoy this fall weather!! Duke loves it!
Oh that is wonderful news! I kinda thought that is what was brewing but you and I are alike--off to the professionals when we are unsure. That iridescent he is talking about I believe is called "ghost vessels". Lucy has that too and she can see well--just some minor scaring from all that she has been through.
That is a relief. Now you guys can relax this weekend!! Give Duke a big hug from me and lucy!
Hi there.. i just updated in the post.. our computer was not working last night!
I am so happy we took him to the surgeon who did his eyes.. he was VERY pleased.. and told us his site is perfect etc.. it was exactly what you were saying.. the scar tissue causes the eye to be dry thus it leaks and gets the goop! he has to have gel drops for a good two months. he also told us that the eye can look iridecent from the surgery.. not to worry! I was really worried.. and his LIMP has gone away also.. he was in a very pleasant mood this morning! Have a great weekend!
I have heard of Northstar! My vet recommended them too! I went to Dr. Clinton because that is who Dr. Kinnear recommended. I agree with getting another opinion - sometimes other docs have different experiences with things! Medicine is definitely not an exact science!
Thanks so much for the info!!! I'll be sure to discuss it with them ... they take such good care of my baby, I don't doubt they will take care of it. I haven't set an appt yet - but will be setting it up when we go for the check-up on his ulcer tomorrow.
I just noticed you are in South Jersey ... where about?
are you guys ok?? we are but my dad has had no power since 7 last night and my brothers entire family room is flooded our house is ok hope yours is too and everyone is safe! and Duke my God trying to get him to go out last night was a JOKE
Hope you guys are doing ok!! we are " bracing " ourselves here! I was supposed to go to the Phillies game with my husband tonight .... now we are stuck in the house all weekend and I work for State Farm we are going to be so busy with claims on Monday! YUK... stay safe!!
Hi with all the other stuff last night I had them check his eye.. it is fine but he had an infection so they gave us a cream to put in his eye for 7 days... I am falling asleep at my desk today ha ha
Hi there ... had a question... does Lucy ever have any leaking from her eyes since her surgery.. Dukes eyes have been so watery? and the past few days when he wakes they are gucky? I am worried dont want him to have anymore eye issues. Not sure if I should call the vet or his surgeon? his one eye looks irritated ?
