I decided to go with the same kind of car that I have now. I have already "purchased" the car over the phone (we have bought several cars there, so I just call them and tell them which one I want and they mark it as sold). He will have the new car ready to go and all paperwork waiting for us to sign and we are going to stop by on our way to see Kealey Saturday morning and trade cars. This way we will be able to go to Indiana without worrying about trying to fit in the car thing during the week before we leave.
So sad what some children do to inflict emotional pain on other children! Our now 20 year old has Dyslexia and when we moved to the west coast, her main concern was the other students making fun of her because of her "disability". I created a newsletter style 2 page print out that explained how she had a gift and I showed all of the research I had done and told stories of famous people who had failed miserably as a young person with dyslexia and the great accomplishments that they had made since. I told her that she had a gift and was fortunate to have been blessed with the ability to see things differently than most of us. We framed those prints and hung them on her wall and every time someone new came to our home that first year there, she took them to her room to show them. (continued)
Sorry to hear that Logan is so overwhelmed with the combination of school and work. Hopefully it will get better for him soon! It sucks when the kids aren't happy in school Our 20 year old hated her senior year of high school......she didn't drink, party or sleep around, so she didn't fit it with so many of the girls.....she was so ready to get out! I hope you find a solution for your daughter soon!
My stepdaughter had her second child yesterday, so I am a grandmother again......we don't see them a lot, but we will probably make the drive to Indiana towards the end of next week. I am sure we would normally go this weekend, but Kealey is so excited about us visiting and I told the car salesman that I would pick up the new car on the way to visit her, so I think that issue is resolved. I am getting my current car repaired today.....thankfully there wasn't too much damage and they think they can get it done today or tomorrow.

I don't care for camping, but my husband loves it. He is so considerate, that he would never ask me to go, so that is why I gave him the trip as a gift. I am sure we will have fun together though......it will be nice to get away.
I hope the repairs will stop! I am so tired of dealing and paying for all of this crap We haven't seen Kealey in about 5 weeks, so it will be nice to visit with her on Saturday! Then her birthday is at the end of October, so she will come home for a weekend then.

Yes, definitely getting a new car as soon as this one is fixed A mountain getaway sounds wonderful! Lucky girl We are going camping soon.....I am not much for camping, but my husband loves it and that was my birthday gift to him.....a camping trip I am sure I will enjoy just being together! We are headed to visit Kealey this weekend.....we haven't seen her since we moved her into her dorm, so I can't wait for the visit!
You won't believe this, but now a raccoon has ran out in front of my car and has torn the bumper and fender well up (Saturday), then Sunday a rock hit my husband's car and cracked something on it!!! By the way, the lawnmower has to be taken to the shop! We have decided that we will skip September next year....doesn't seem to be a good month for us

Not sure. They stepped her down to the rehab floor tho so that's a start. She is just extremely weak. Hopefully things will settle for us both and soon! So proud of Winston! Good job!
I know..ugh..and to top it off, both my older dogs are pooping in their crates every nite so I get to wake up early just yo clean it up..I love them but it is just too much right now! How is Winston doing?! And has everything finally settled w school n all for you guys?

Sorry you are having a rotten day! I got sick yesterday.....just a stupid summer cold, but without A/C, it is miserable. Rained all morning, so they couldn't fix the a/c...finally got it done this afternoon and it working $750 later!!! My husband has to get $1,200 worth of tires on his car in the morning! Can I go to the airport with you? You are probably going to see hubby, but I was thinking somewhere tropical!
He's back to himself, I was so scared I never seen a dog so sick in my life! Thanks for asking
