Hi BTW, Im Angie...not sure we met yet. I took a short sabbatical to get my head in a better place and wasnt really taking as much notice as I should before then. So sorry to read about your recent loss
That is crazy!!! We had purchased Logan's books early because of our crazy schedules, and after the first day his math teacher mentioned that she doesn't use the NEW book, she uses the one from last year that they don't sell anymore. They can use the new book, they will just have to search to find the right chapter. Now why on earth would you use a book that they don't even SELL anymore?!! I agree they should just use e-books to keep the costs down...
HOLY MOTHER!!! Todd that is outrageous!!! My son's entire freshman books only cost $580... Jen actually used her smartphone at the college bookstore to do the price match. Logan also rented some used books, not sure if you have that option...
That is ridiculous... Does your daughter head to college for her college classes? I just found out that APSU will honor Amazon or Barnes & Noble pricing plus add 10%... you should see if the college books can be priced matched. It saved my son's girlfriend several hundred dollars, of course we didn't know about it for Logan
That is the worst part of heading out of state... My son's books were over $580 not to mention backpack, supplies and all the rest. I could of just chopped off a limb at this point... LOL
I can't believe it takes that long to get a student enrolled, my son started on Monday & they had kids enrolling & paying on that DAY!!! Believe me they can get it done... Well I'm glad he's in Cali, is he thinking of enrolling there?!!
Well at least you can laugh/cry about it at the same time!!! We have had a rough year starting in January... my hubby had just gotten laid off, then our dog drama started, and I had a kidney stone which ended up in surgery. Things are starting to look up on our end, and hopefully things will start to turn around for you guys too. How is your son doing? Did they ever get his transcript sent to college?!!
Don't feel like a bad person at all. My husband and I did the very same thing and on the first day that Orion passed (he went suddenly and unexpectedly at 4 the morning). We felt so wrong for looking but we couldn't help it - it was our way of grieving (to give our hearts and home to another one). And then there was Ace to consider (he was Orion's little mate). He was lost without his brother so we needed another dog right then and there. That's how Wilson came to us, through Orion's passing. You'll miss her forever and forever she'll be close to your heart. It's hard when they're gone, to adjust to them not being there.
and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and
It's so hard to let our friends go. It's one of the most unselfish things in life we can do for them though. I had one final glorious week, and an extremely emotional one, before it was time for me to let Ace fly high. I know your pain. Will be thinking of you today!! Hope you don't mind a hug too.
Just wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you and your family and Sasha. She'll find much happiness at the Bridge. I'll be sure to send word to Ace and Orion so they can greet her with waggy tails.
My heart is heavy for what you & your family are going thru,
saying goodbye to Sasha. So many disappointments in so short
a time frame only magnifies the hurt. Sending comforting hugs
and praying GOD's comfort & peace fills your hearts and is with
all of you today.
Well I'm really sorry... I feel bad for your son, disappointments back to back it's a shame. He sounds like a great kid, I hope that something will turn up for him soon!!! You too Dad
You know APSU even did that to my son... it was so stupid! The copy had to be sent from the school. I can't believe that they aren't working w/you guys to get this done in time... WTH?!!
