  • The potty training is going exceptionally well. I am so surprised on how good he is about going out to do his business and not in the house. I keep him in his crate when we go to work during the day, and I come home, or Tony (my boyfriend) comes home, and we let him out to potty and feed him and play for a moment. He holds it all day though. He has learned to hold it until we get there to let him out, which I am so thankful. Overall he is a great puppy. I don't know what I would do without my little man. How is Gator and the rest of your pack doing. I need to send some pics to Ron and show him how big Cash is now. He is growing so fast. Hope all is well with you and yours. Talk to you later.
    I will take it...OH and Dave fell down the stairs and may have broken his foot...I swear, I used to have a nice peaceful life....
    Hi, sorry for the delay in responding;

    Pigs' ears have a high fat content and can lead to obesity, can also cause stomach upset in some dogs, they are high in fat, they can irritate the pancreas, causing pancreatitis in susceptible dogs. This results in vomiting, lethargy, abdominal pain and diarrhea.
    Pig's ear treats can also be a source of Salmonella bacteria. The federal government recently issued a warning that pig's ear dog treats from a number of manufacturers were contaminated with Salmonella bacteria, which can cause diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and other serious long-term complications. Some pets that become infected may not show clinical signs.
    . Better yet, avoid them altogether.

    Thank you for the gift of the key, very sweet of you, looked at many houses today, sheewww, exhausting. Thank you again~!!!
    We have butcher shops and a family owned grocery store real close to us that has the best deals going on for fresh meat. Like they sometimes they run sales of Chicken Leg Quarters for 39 cents a pound if you buy a case of 40 pounds. To me it just makes good cents. :yes:
    Oh, YES INDEED !!!. Lowes delivered this morning at 10:30. Yesterday after we purchased it, wouldn't you know it? My husband flip-flopped on me. He says there's too many risk's involved. Choking. Salmonella and etc. For every con he gives me, I have 2 pro's. I'm going to have to work on him some more. I've been doing my home work and looking at both plans. A few years ago, like 4, he's the one who bought the BARF plan to me. Go figure. It's not the one I'd go with though. He'd like to see me fill the freezer with fresh frozen fruits and veggies. I have a week to work on him cause thats when we run out of FROMM. I go through about a bag a week of that stuff. It probably is the best bagged for them on the market, or one of the best. It does have all the nutrients and stuff necessary for them, but oh so boring and no fun at all. :nope: I am disappointed with his change of heart.
    I'll pray GatorRay passes the running test and any other tests thrown at him! WIth Gypsy I hope her skin issue goes away quick and in a hurry! Geesh when it rains i pours!
    We finally decided on a name! We are going to call him Cash! His real name on his AKC papers will be Cassius, but we most likely will just call him Cash. What do you think? His daddy's owners last name I believe is Cash, and I didn't even realize that when we decided, just a fluke! lol
    My mother and I are going to travel to Bloomfield KY, Saturday July 16th, so I can spend time with my little guy. I am so excited about seeing him tomorrow!!! He will be exactly 4 weeks old Saturday! When I get back I will have tons of pictures to post. If you happen to be out and about and feel like dropping it, I would love to meet Gator!
    Hey, have not seen you around..Are you doing OK? How is Mr. Gator? Did your mom make it to Bradenton?
    Hi!

    I have been meaning to answer your question about where we live, and I'm still trying to figure out how to reply to a private message. I hope this gets to you! We live in Northern Kentucky (Edgewood/Ft Michell area) which is about 15 min from Cincinnati OH. I would love to meet you and Gator, as soon as my lil guy gets a little older. He will be 3 weeks old this Saturday, so we have a little while before he comes home to his new mama. I used to show horses in Louisville at the Broadbent Arena, so I have been to the State Field Grounds many times. I remember we used to stay at the Executive Inn when we were showing. Do you live close to the State Field Grounds?
    Thanks so much for checking in today! I put an update in the forum. Looks like its just an abscess and she is going to take some antibiotics. Hopefully the swelling will go down!
