  • Yeah, we lived there for 5 years back in the early nineties, when my kids were in grade 6 and 8 , until high school, but back then there wasn't a lot of jobs, or growth yet. Plus my whole family lives here, and I missed them. It's much different now, it has really grown over the past years, many more jobs, and a lot of bigger stores like Costco have opened. The other problem is the isolation, if you want to go anywhere you have to take the ferry, which is expensive. I remember when we lived there , we went to the mainland a few times for watching a hockey game, or when the wrestlers came , or shopping. By the time you went over on the ferry, the 2 hours, watched a hockey game, you had to eat over there, so buy food or eat in a restaurant it became expensive. Also if the game ended late, then you had to stay in a motel overnight, because the last ferry was gone. It wasn't something you could do very often.
You probably won't find them anywhere, not sure. I got it when I was at the Denver Dumb Friend's League Furry Scurry. It was a vendor's booth. I wish I would have grabbed a handful. It's really cute.
Do you have a pic in mind that you'd like me to work on that's in your facebook page? To get those pics here you'd need to save them to your ipad and then just upload them from your ipad. Let me know on the pic and I'll add it to my list, lol. :)
Love the profile picture! Great to see a family shot. Hey I'll do you one too, just give me a few days. I have a few others that I need to get done first and each one takes about an hour. :D
Ahhhh but you took the time to share you story for my article. And that I thank you for. :happy2:

yea i noticed that crazy machines lol we can try again if you want
Thank you for the gifts. I do hope all works out with the diet for the little ones. Your EBDs are beautiful, I plan on getting Amber a brother or sister in Feb/Mar but I wanted her to be a year old before I got another EBD. She is so fully of energy I had to work on one at a time. The Great Dane isn't much fun for Amber because she is 13 years old and not too interested in a daily romp fromt he bully. Lol; a little one is just what Amber needs to play with. Good luck.
Why are all my I Pad pics upside down? Lol. Is there any way of rotating them? I can't figure it out. Why am I so computer illiterate? Oh yeah I remember I'm old, I Grew up with electric typewriters and pagers no cell phones, lol. Does that make me a dinosaur? Lol
I seem to be lucky with Amber;she doesn't have any allergies to chicken but most of the time I use ground beef to make her food. When I see it on sale I get the large packages (5 or 10 pounds) and put it in a pot of water (maybe 5 or 6 cups) and boil it. Stir it to get the ground beef all mixed together almost like a stew. Then I add cans of mix vegetables (green beans, carrots and potatoes) I stir all that together and add some cooked brown rice (I have a rice cooker but you could use uncle bens probably). I put about 4 cups to the stew and stir that up; I also add eggs but sometimes I give them to her once I put the food in the bowl. I get zip lock freezer bags and put about 1 1/2 cups per bag and that is about it. She gets feed morning and night; one bag at a time. I also put cheese in her food, just some grated on top of the stew and salmon oil. You can get the salmon oil in Petsmart. good luck.
Your babies have great names! :) They are so cute! My family had two and I have always loved English Bulldogs and now that I have one, I could never choose another breed. :) Tonka is 15 1/2 months old now and I am already planning for my second bully. I just have to talk my boyfriend into it! haha!
