I might try those again. I have beige carpet & they do make a mess. šŸ˜•

What can the BD's chew on safely?

I purchased 2 Kong classics yesterday for the boys. Since both are on diets right now, I didn’t put treats in them. After a couple of bounces, they both scarfed up each other’s toy and chomped down on them. So if they’ll play without treats, that would be great!

What can the BD's chew on safely?

I gave each of mine a Benebone, a plastic wishbone-shaped bone. They are aggressive chewers and now I see that they are chewing them down. I found a few plastic particles on the floor but I assume some of that is getting into them, which alarms me. A little internet reading (I know, not always...

PETA suing AKC about ā€˜deformed’ breeds

PETA has filed a lawsuit against the AKC to force it to change breed standards for bulldogs, French bulldogs, Chinese Shar Pei and dachshunds. The AKC replied it doesn’t set the standards; that’s up to the national clubs. The Bulldog Club of America hasn’t changed its standards since the 1920’s...

    New pup with the diarrhea

Hopefully your puppy is doing better. Dehydration would be a big concern for me. Monitor how much she is drinking and peeing. If you see blood in the stool, get her to a vet ASAP. That may be caused by coccidia or giardia. She is very young and it's best to err on the side of caution, IMO. If...

    Reputable breeders in New England

I highly recommend going to the Bulldog Club of America site and look at the breeders. My other recommendation is to go to some AKC conformation shows and looking at the dogs and talking with their handlers. That's how I met the breeder of my dogs. A good breeder will ask you questions on your...

    Cyct on paw

I thought food was a problem for my bulldog as well, causing toe cysts. I did believe that his walking in grass was a possible culprit. I also saw him licking his paws after eating. Then after several times seeing this and no toe inflammation, I see little brown spots on my beige carpet. He was...

    Help with Kevin’s paws

Are you rinsing off his paws after walks outdoors? Are you washing and rinsing his paws after walks outdoors? Lots of stuff can get caught in the hair between the toes, mold spores and such. Do you shave the hair between the toes?

I need to rehome my 2 year old bulldog. Does anyone know of Agencies and/or Resources in Central Virginia?

Try contacting local kennel clubs & ask them to spread the word. There is a large Kennel Club in Richmond.

What Causes This Reddish Brown Discoloration

I think Tebow liked the Open Farm. The poops were formed but soft and just slimy when scooping up. More gross for me than him. LOL

What Causes This Reddish Brown Discoloration

Tebow went back on Victor Pro food after the recall ended. He did well on it before. But they changed their formula & he was a mess so I went with Open Farm Whitefish and Ancient Grains. He loved it but the poops were rather soft and difficult to clean up in the yard. While attending the BCA...

    Senior Bulldog

My heart goes out to you. I know the anguish I felt when Porkchop passed away. I was lost for several months. You and Lola were blessed with one another. Let your memories be filled with the good times, the goofy antics and the quiet times shared together.
