I am so beyond sorry for this pain you are in. I'm furious on your behalf. I hate bad medical treatment. There is no reason to this. If they were all of a sudden slammed with emergencies, fine. Reschedule. I so feel you about not asking more questions or demanding better answers. I am trusting...
Hi again. Thanks for all the kind replies to my previous post. This is Jenkins.
He's settling right in. If you missed it, he's my second rescue Bulldog. Norm was my first. It's a whole different deal. Norm was 4. We're thinking Jenkins is about 1. How much did your bully weigh at a year?
I...
hi all. It's been 3+years since I've been here. I joined when I got my first EB Norman ie, Big Norm, NormieNorm. I learned so much here. What food to feed and how to get it delivered, what treats, shampoo, cleaning stuff-all the cleaning stuff! I really got a great intro into being a bullymom...
My first bully would get this on his nose. Once it got really bad. The vet gave us an antiviral for it and it cleared it up fast. Might be worth checking with your vet.
I can't believe it's super close to one year that we've had Norm! I can't believe it! I can't believe how much I love this snorty, farty, snoring seriously goofy big baby. I was also impressed with how well he seemed to slide right into our family of cats and our Jack Russell Phoebe.
I guess...
ok here's an insider tip... look into Emotional Support Animals. I went through all this to get Norm to GA from UT. As I was researching, I think United was one of the only that would cargo ship an EBD but they had to be in a crate 1 size bigger than they needed and it was $400-ish. Again...
Norm would take a bath every day. He LOVES it. I was getting him once a week or every 10 days or so. I slacked off some the last 2 months and I noticed a huge difference. He gets a doggy smell. And the couch blankets and pillows get a doggy smell.
Norm likes to settle into the couch and lick, lick, lick, slurp, lick, slobber. I was wondering if it was an EB thing, a Norm thing, or just a deep appreciation of our leather couch...
Well it's been a while since I've posted. I've been reading sporadically but everything has been so crazy with the holidays etc...
I missed everyone!! Now for the jinx....just when I was thinking things were going so great with Norm, his eye was better, the flea bite skin reaction was better...
it wouldn't surprise me one bit if the cat was in on it. but I know neither Phoebe or Norm pass up a chance for a forbidden snack. all I know is I was glad to be out of the house mist off the day. Bread stuff gives Norm the farts in the worst way.
Last time the midnight snack was a pizza they somehow got into....this time it was a package King's Hawaiian rolls!! Now I now they're good and I like them too, but DANG dogs!
I think Norm would take a bath every.single.day! We have to be kinda sneaky now when it's bath time for the kids because if he hears them go up and the water come on, there's no keeping him downstairs. That was one of the first things Norm did when I brought him home. It was bath time for the...
It looked like carpet burn but I think everyone has had some good suggestions. When Norm's chin gets red/rashy like that, I dry it off and then smear some desitin on it. Clears it up really fast.
It's worse when they find something dead like that and decide to ROLL in it! My Jack Russell is the QUEEN of finding dead things to roll in and smear all over her body. So GROSS!!!
