Even if you think the face is very clean and don't notice a smell, that doesn't mean there isn't any yeast there to cause an itch. Our doggy dermatologist told us that dogs can get little pimple-like bumps or skin crusts that are bacterial or allergy related. This could be a little bug bite or scratch too. You could always talk to your vet about switching to an anti-bacterial/anti-fungal shampoo which are great for dogs...

We have also added a couple tablespoons of Non-fat, plain Greek Yogurt to Tonka's food for extra pro-biotics. I believe you can use regular yogurt as well.
