Awe that is absolutely WONDERFUL!!!! Baby Steps...eventually I think she will stop all together sounds like she is taking to the correcting and redirecting very well I am so happy for you two your progress is remarkable!!

Awe Bless her heart...its so hard to see them in pain. My mother in law has a tea cup yorkie and she is terrified of storms to the point of pacing heart racing panting so bad I feel like she will hyperventilate so we have to give her that at the first sign of storms I even tried the redirection and she wasn't having any of it not even a treat. She is so focused on her terror. It sounds more to me like a pain memory response. I feel for her my heart just breaks I hope its something that you can get redirected.

I have read Tucks is the best because it has a numbing agent in it. I don't know Sheldon loves his cleaned I don't have any problem with that all I have to do is get a wet paper towel and a dry one and he turns his booty to me so I can clean and dry him but I am going to try the chlorohexadrine as well as the other stuff I am going to get a first aid kit especially for bullies so that I have every thing I need for him. I have learned so much from this site right now he is giving me the "Stink Eye" because I gave him a bath outside instead of in the tub like normal but he got treats afterward LOL....Awe her anal glands may be inflamed and that is why it hurts maybe or maybe its a pain memory response you know like it use to hurt and that is how she remembers it so that is her automatic go to response, have you tried treats while cleaning or playing with her favorite toy while cleaning so she learns to associate cleaning with good feelings instead of pain.

Its not been bad here we have finally received some rain thank goodness. It was so dry and hot Sheldon doesn't spend much time outside unless its in the pool because I am so afraid he will over heat. He has run of the house now and since we changed his food to Merrick Whole Earth Farms he has been doing so much better. We made some of the yogurt and peanut butter freezer treats which are a big hit with the fur babies as well as my skin kids LOL...go figure. Next time I am going to use banana yogurt to mix with the peanut butter, the kids seem to think that would taste good LOL... So glad to hear Kiah is doing so well she has improved by leaps and bounds! Of course I knew she would with a good daddy that had plenty of patience and love to give. Its so good to hear she is no longer reacting with fear it breaks my heart for these fur babies to be hurt especially knowing they are so full of love and loyalty.

How have you guys been doing? We have been trying to stay cool, had Sheldon outside with the sprinkler today and he didn't want anything to do with it. LOL he kept making wide circles around the sprinkler but he loves the pool and my parents creek LOL...go figure.

Awe that is wonderful she can have her own yard to play in if she is anything like my boy she will love her own little pool Sheldon loves his pool he loves chasing his favorite ball around in it and its the only way he gets any outdoor play right now because its so hot. I changed his food to the Merrick Whole Earth Farms and he has been acting like a puppy running at full tilt jumping all over. I love to see him playing like that. It is wonderful that Kiah is doing so well, it's wonderful to see the improvement all she needed was someone to love her and let her love in return. Keep it up and keep me posted on how she is doing.

He is over it and doing well, we have spa time now where I file his claws or clip them if that is what they need I put baby lotion on his paws (he lays for a while smelling his paws) clean his wrinkles and tail pocket and I put aquaphor on his nose. He loves spa time and I get snuggle time win/win!!!
