Kim, his trainer, even had him do something that is not on the CGC test, but was just curious to see if he would do it or not. He had me walk down to the other end of the aisle we were at (about 30 yards or so), drop his leash, then just walk back to the training center to see if he would follow me, or get side tracked by other people, dogs, whatever. Oliver trotted along right behind me the whole way and never looked away. Kim said that in all of his years dog training and out of over 600 dogs, he's only had 5 dogs be able to do that including Oliver. He's such a good boy!!! We, of course, bought him a toy!!! While we were there, some lady brought her border collie in the vet clinic who had been hit by a car and was bleeding all over the face area. We don't know what the turn out was, but hoping he'll be okay.
Now, all Oliver has to do is pass a TDI (therapy dog institute) test and then he can officially go visit nursing homes, schools, and hospitals!!! Kim said the TDI test is the same as the CGC test, so I see no problem with him passing it!
