As many of you know we lost our sweet girl, Maggie, almost a year ago to Lymphoma. It was very sudden and unexpected.
Now .. some but not many of you may know that Tom and I are very involved with Rescue Ohio English Bulldogs, and we held a golf fundraiser at the end of last year. There was a silent auction and we won a Drago painting!!! I was so excited about this, and Tom said I could choose any bully pic I wanted. Of course, it just had to be a painting of our baby girl. It took some time to decide which picture of her I wanted though. But I kept coming back to one of my all time favorites. Maybe it's because I had taken her in the car to pick Juliet, my daughter, up from High School and we got there early. I just remember looking at her sat in the passenger seat watching and absorbing everything, and just realising how very very very much I loved that little hairy fur-kid of mine. Every tiny piece of her seemed like perfection to me as we both sat waiting for Juliet to eventually appear.
So finally the picture is now done ........ and here are the results!! I am just so pleased, especially the eyes because I didn't think anybody could catch her "look" the way Drago has done!
