Yep. Harlea loves to flop down in the sun. Even if she doesn't have to go potty she will sit at the door until we take her out so she can bask in the light!
Yes, especially Tate. He will just lay there, whether it's on the grass or even in the "dirt" part of the yard. Even if there's a ray of sunshine streaming into the house thru a window, Tate will find that spot and just sit there too.
Absolutely... Banks will seek it out throughout the house. as the sun changes where it enters the house, she will go room to room looking for that one spot
Okayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy so here I am reading online about various stuff and i run across this breeders site who repeatedly claim their dogs live 14-16 years, and he identifies all the steps they take to ensure that. One of them is "Never let them go in the sun".
I guess his logic is skin cancer, or possibly stress from overheating / constantly creating a fever-like environment (i was wrong earlier when i said they aren't like frogs in a slowly boiling pot).
I have to bring Baxter in from the sun (its 88 and brutal here in Miami) constantly, because he'll bake himself to death. I can't even tolerate the heat, and he's out there frying himself.
Any issues to bring up here? I would think their fur protects them. Not so much on the face though I guess...
I'm so glad to see most have bulldogs who LOVES to sunbath... I'm constantly running around like a "sun police" trying to keep everyone out of the heatlol.
