Hey guys, I'm sorry I post with so many random things about stanlee it's just that I'm a new mommy and I'm just unsure at this point on what to do.
When I first got stanlee he was ok but I noticed hair loss and very red skin,my bulldog specialist vet said that most white bulldogs had pink skin and the hair loss was Stan shedding his puppy coat,I was relieved but after a few more weeks it just did not seem right to me. It was a Sunday when I saw him in the sunlight and decided I was comfortable just leaving him looking like that and I took him somewhere for a second opinion, turned out to be demodectic mange which I just finished treating him with the ivermicin and 2 baths a week. He couldn't handle the shampoo and started getting scabs and bleeding pretty bad, which I was told were the mites coming up,then upon reading about the shampoo it clearly states to discontinue use if skin irritation occurs. I stopped using the shampoo and my vet gave me hylyte a different one.
So stanlee had started to look a lot better and he went in for a second scrape and no sign of mites. Tonight he threw up a little bit and then I noticed another spot where he is bleeding today and he's just so red in the eyes and face area.
This is all very devastating for me because stanlee is all I've got and I don't want him to be in any pain or uncomfortable or even worse for his health to be at risk.
My my bulldog specialist is not a bad guy but I feel like he sees stanlee and assumes everything is fine and if I tell him something might be wrong he dismisses it. I'm just so unsure about how to handle this and give him the life he deserves.
