  • According to our dermatologist, Simplicef is one of the best antibiotics on the market to treat skin infections in dogs.
    And no, it hasn't come back (yet). He's currently eating Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Canine Hypoallergenic Hydrolyzed Protein Adult HP Dry dog food (mouthful lol..)
    It's a prescription food and I would never recommend it because I don't think it's one of the better ones out there nutrition wise.
    But we were desperate because changing proteins didn't seem to help long term.
    He's still licking and scratching, but there's a huge improvement. Only thing is, he's also on allergy meds (oral version of shots), so not sure if that's what finally helping or the food.
