I use nylabones and deer antlers also. I have to watch Ellie as she'll devour a deer antler and work a nylabone to the point of bloody gums. Then it's like herding cats to get them away from her. I'm from North Georgia also!

Ellie's a dainty 37ish lbs. She's got the barrel chest, but we've worked hard to maintain a nice tuck at her back end. I'd say that she could top out around 40lbs and be ok, but right now she's fine.

Ellie has been nothing but affectionate with our newest addition. In fact, she's sometimes overly affectionate and we have separate her from our wee little man.

Just an update, but I said the hell with it last night after she woke up the kiddo with her barking. I was up until about 1:00 a.m. squirting her every few minutes until she finally quieted down. Ellie started back up about 3:00 and received quite a few squirts off and on until it was time to...

we have. it seems to work for a couple of minutes and then back to the barking. iI'm sure you can imagine that it gets quite tiring getting up and down every few minutes in the early hours.

Yes...crated at night. She has a habit of suckling/chewing things until they become a snack, so we opt to play it safe and avoid unnecessary vet bills. :D
