All good - got my answer. SubQ - 100% of the fluids enter the blood stream. Whereas drinking water, some is lost when they poop & pee.

Hi, I’m currently giving my dog 250 mL of subQ fluids twice/day. If my dog eats 3 meals/day - canned food now & I add/spread out 500 mL of water between 3 meals… would that be the same thing? if yes, would his urgency to pee increase or stay the same? Thx…

Update. Threw up a couple of times last week. Creatinine rose slightly so we went in for a progress ultra sound. Existing stones in the kidneys, no change, same size, haven't budged. So much for trying to dissolve them. Also learned the same kidney they operated on is in bad shape...
