I would keep the crate downstairs. It will be annoying to get up and let him out, but once you're past the adjustment phase it will be fine. If he's too close to your room it will be extremely hard to ignore his crying (he will cry the first couple of days).
Once he can sleep through the night...
I would not worry. Sure it is possible that she will choke on a towel, but it is possible to choke on a regular crate liner as well. Anything is possible but we still live our lives. Usually puppies "shred" not swallow. Place some nylabones in the crate for her to channel that chewing :)

Is he left in your yard when you are at work?
Not sure what area you live in but that is very dangerous to leave them in the yard. The can overheat, get into something (in your case the fence), or get stolen. The fence can be saved by leaving them indoors while you are not home, and supervise...
I've been in your shoes. Poppy was a happy go lucky 50 lb jumper. Bunk was reactive to high energy+noise and would bite (dogs). A year ago we were lost and felt like there was no end.
Eventually I found a dog training class that was right for me. It was 3x a week for 8 weeks. Outdoors. Around...
I use a crate when there are other passengers, but normally their harnesses are clipped onto the back seat and I lay towels or a dog bed on the seat for them. There were a few car accidents here in recent years where the dog in the car flew out the window. Or survived and ran into the...
Can you put up netting to protect your bushes?
The only way to stop him is to catch him in the act and deal right then and there. I'd use a spray bottle, or empty pop bottle with pennies in it to let him know you don't approve. Or a verbal command and treat when he pays attention to you and...
According to google this guy is an olde English.. Not far off from your boy now that you compare them :)
Not only did you save money, but from what I've read they much healthier then modern bullies. Of course nothing is guaranteed but godspeed! Lol!
I disagree with the other posts. Raised food bowls alone do not *cause* bloat but it substantially increases the risks when combined with other factors. If your dog is deep chested, older, gulps his food, plays right after eating etc. then it is a recipe for disaster.
There has been one...

Pits are hard to identify, people judge appearances due to their fear (and ignorance) so take it with a grain of salt.
To me he looks like an Olde English, but his colors are very unique. What does his tail look like? Once he grows up you...
I think the face advice is related to getting water in the ears and trapped in the folds. You can wash their face as long as u make sure the folds are dry afterwards.
Wash as often as they need it.. Don't over wash because it strips the natural oils of the hair/skin and they can get skin problems.
