Longish story here, but Aunt Clara has been choking occasionally on food for a few years now, but all of a sudden it became more prevalent over the last week, so I scheduled a vet appointment. Then, she took a huge turn for the worst two days before the appointment and was waking up coughing...
Thanks you, Sherry. Upon close inspection of the whole of Clara, I did find one other tiny spot on a rear leg that is missing a little bigger than a pinpoint of fur. I don't see any scaling there yet, but this is how the one on top of her head started. I'll make sure I treat any areas that...
No, Karen, just right on top of her head. I think you might just have hit the nail on the head too. I googled ringworm, and it certainly looks like the descriptions and the photos. I think I see some slight pinks around the periphery under the hair that remains around the bump. I think I'm...
I don't think it's a histiocytoma as it is nit as bulgy as the pictures I could find, and not really red, more scaly/dry and raised.

Yeah, looks like she's going to have to see the doc. If I could get an educated guess on what it could be I could try to treat it in the meantime. I know antibiotic ointment isn't fixing it, and she seems to be completely oblivious to it so I don't think it itches or anything.

She had had a couple if hot spots in the past. This is definitely not one if those, not oozy out anything. Seems almost like a callous except there is nothing rubbing it as its on the top of her head, and it's gradually getting bigger. Is it possible it's a reaction to a bug bite? It started...
Aunt Clara has a dry lump on the top of her head and has lost the hair there as well. It seems to be growing slowly. That said, our Boston did have doggie herpes in recent months. This doesn't look the same to me, but I'm not sure what it could be.

Omg, it's 5:10 a.m., and she just started snoring. I have to be up at 6:30 to get my son to his 8:00 basketball tournament. We have a full day of activities ahead, so no naps will be happening (for the humans). Not sure if I should even bother sleeping, ugggh!

We are desperate, so any help would be very appreciated.
We are in a really bad way with sleep patterns. Miss Clara is 10 months old and absolutely refuses to sleep at night. She is not in a crate and is allowed to sleep wherever she pleases (not in furniture). As of late, she cries all...
She apparently doesn't do great with anesthesia because she vomited several times throughout the night last night and was not at all interested in eating anything, not even get favorite stuff, so I couldn't disguise her pain pill and had to kind of like it down her throat. She was sooo...
Well, I cheat a little and often use kibble, but a different brand and flavor from her normal food. Her regular diet is Fromm Gold Adult, but her "treats" are Earthborn Holistic Great Plains Feast. I do give little bits of banana or apple if I'm having it or an occasional bit of carrot. When...
Haha! She's an adorabull little brat. I wonder if you give commands and then offer treats when she complies, but only when she's quiet? When we went to school, Clara would complain a bit, but it was more whining than barking. Waiting to reward helped immensely.

That's fantastic! Although our situation is a bit different because we aren't in an apartment, it's not been very long at all since we were celebrating finally getting there with house breaking. Good work, Izzy!! (and mom!!!) :-)
