Gosh, I would have a hard time if Dexter slept in my room. He's down the hall and snores so much I have a hard time falling asleep! When he is in my room I am trying to train him Not to go up on my bed. He does prefer his crate though, thank goodness. Get well soon!

Has anyone used Acidophilus for their dog? Not the people kind, it's specific to dogs.
I'm at my wits ends, it's destroying my home now and I am on a mission to solve Dexter's problem. I don't believe it's yeast.
He eats adult avaderm, recommended by his doctor. He will be a year old Feb 2nd...
Welcome Vicky! Where are you from? I am in Northern New Jersey and I am always running into new Bulldog owners (I stalk Petsmart for this and that) so I wonder if they ever make it over here.

Avid reader here having recently discovered books that include dogs. "The story of Edgar Sawtelle" is what I am reading but my question here is: Are there any stories anyone has read that include Bulldogs? Even helpful books would be neat to read. I feel I could learn even more about my guy if...
This is an interesting post. The alpha thing would be what I would do. I don't do that to Dexter, never had to. He is such an easy going pup. (that's a big stretch of words since I've just completed 4 weeks of diarrhea with the change of food thingy) I'm sure he will be testing me in the months...
I started Dexter on avoderm since Saturday. I'm almost done with a complete change. I tried blue buffalo and everything went wrong with his system. 2nd night where there were no accidents in his crate. I decided on avoderm because it was supposed to be easy on his stomach. Don't know just...
I'm trying to get my Dexter to exercise too. You may already be doing these things but thought I would put down my routine.
stick. It's maybe a five min play for him but it gets him moving from a slow walk to a very light jog to get it. He's still learning this game of course. If he starts...
Oh I like the crushed ice idea thanks! It's hot today here so no way am I limiting his water but I did take them out very late last night yet Dexter was wet this morning. I said 2 stern No's and only hope it sunk in what I meant.
Well, I'm just kidding but I've only had him for 2 weeks and 3 days so I'm not set with the food thing yet but I am about to give him a sweet potato and cooked carrots as his afternoon munch. I got him and he came from a great breeder but he stunk so he's on acidophilus once a day. The vet gave...
I don't think that is the problem. There would be signs indicating. Frankly, I know what it is and it's the amount of water he thinks he needs each day. I've only had him now for 2 weeks so I'm trying to give him only what he and his weight is supposed to have. I think the vet said 3 1/2...
