For what it's worth, Koozer had the TPLO surgery many years ago, and it was the best thing we ever did. The knee is still holding strong and he's (unfortunately) still hopping around the furniture like a sporty dog. Good luck. Oh, also, we opted to add stem cell therapy to his recovery and I...
Hi All! It's been ages since I've been on here, but I guess that means all is good. I have a question for those who did or do feed their bully Taste of the Wild. I have heard that the company was bought out and the quality of the food has diminished. I've even heard of lawsuits for the...
This is the time to teach him things. Working the mind zaps their energy (mostly:) ). Try hiding treats, and see if he finds them. Teach him the name of his toys. walk around the house on a leash teaching sit/stay command. More work for you, I know, but with a toddler, that's tough. Good luck.
If you are looking for a product to put on items (not your bullie), the bitter apple spray worked for Koozer. You may just need to find the right product.
We have never been to Dr Butchko (have heard stories about his not so friendly demeanor). We do use Dr. Kraemer (in Orange) who is the vet for So Cal Bulldog Rescue. He and his staff are AMAZING! Google vet4bulldog. Good luck.
When we go out of town, often my mother in law will come and stay at our house and grand-dog sit for us. Koozer will sleep with her while she's here. Then when we get home, he knows he has to come and sleep with us. Surprisingly, he has gotten very used to this "abnormal routine". They are...
We use a doggy door for Koozer. It leads to a side dog run for him, which have locked gates so nobody can enter. I loooooove having the dog door. Plus, you can always put the "door" in it, the close it off if you need to. Ours is about 10" x 19" (somewhere in that range). Koozer is 60lbs...not...
I would say try it. Start with cheap ones, just in case:) I can't remember when we stopped using the crate for Koozer, but you have to try at some point, right?
Thanks everyone for the info. Koozer is doing much better. The vet thinks it is just a bacteria infection and says it is quite common. He is on Propectalin to firm up the stools and help with healthy gut flora and is on Metronidazole for the infection. He's already doing so much better...no more...
