Tear ducts are red and raw

I think I'm going to give the vet a call and ask about it, to be safe. I'm hoping it's just from the drip and doesn't mean anything too serious. Thank you for your help

Tear ducts are red and raw

Here it is. It's not really his eye it's more of the fold that the tears fall into. It looks so painful and I'm feeling so awful. Do you think this needs a vet trip or is there anything over the counter I can apply to it to soothe him? He is also prescribed appoquel for his allergies as is...

Tear ducts are red and raw

Thank you for the reply! It is very, very raw. And it like crusty? As well. I wouldn't feel comfortable putting anything on it besides some sort of healing ointment. I will definitely look into an underlying reason. Is there anything you think will help him heal? Maybe neosporin or aquafor?

Tear ducts are red and raw

My poor Henry's eyes water a bunch. We try to keep them dry and clean with witch hazel, but I was really sick over the weekend and neglected his grooming. Now his tear ducts are red and inflamed and one side looks very raw. Any advice on what I can put on him to soothe and heal it? I don't want...

When a stranger tries to pet...

My Henry loves anyone and everyone. I always joke that if I was getting mugged or something and Henry was with me he would just be wiggling his butt trying to get pets the entire time

    Potty training regression. Please help.

Henry is 10 months, currently. We began training him on the doggy door at about 3 months and he was trained to use it to both pee and poop exclusively through out the day, unless taking him out for a walk. Just recently he has began defecating in the house again! Always right near the back door...

    Salt Water ?

I have never heard of the salt water, but I could see it working to dry it out because you really want to keep all the foods dry. Witch hazel is what I use and it works really well. But make sure you get 100% witch hazel. Medicated wipes are amazing, literal miracles. I got some when Henry had a...

Has your bulldog ever chewed up one of your important possessions?

Henry has cost me some serious $$$ from his destruction. A nice pair of heels, 2 PS4 remote controls, the arm rest of our couch, he actually got a hold of my phone while I was asleep and cracked the screen from chewing it. I take full responsibility for leaving these things in his reach, but he...

Help Needed! Paw Licking ......It looks terrible!

Henry got a yeast infection between his toes once. I only found out because he was licking it non stop and it was red and inflamed. I already had medicated wipes on hand because we once let his tail pocket get infected on accident, so I just used the wipes between his toes for a few days and it...

Sherman, that once in a lifetime dog

This is so beautiful. I am so truly sorry for your loss, but it is great to see you living on through his memory. What you said reminded me so much of my Henry. It sounds like Sherman was just as blessed to have a loving family and you were to have his love. Thank you for sharing<3

    behavioral question

A trial run is always a good idea because you have no idea how a dog will react. Since you don't have other dogs or small children, your home would be ideal for a rescue situation, and I applaud you for going this route instead of purchasing a puppy, because believe me I know the temptation! To...
