What pain meds did they send her home with? Tramadol? Did they give an antibiotic? The licking could be from stomach upset.

They sent her home with 3 Deramaxx pills 1 to be given every 24 hrs. Antibiotics were given the day of surgery. I think it was the pain meds not enough food this morning maybe

That could definitely be it! If she seems better now, perhaps it was just that.

I think it was her pain meds to ! I picked up nausea meds from the vet. Cerenia is what is is. Gave it to her and an hour later she is much better even kept dinner down ! I'm gonna be extra careful with the pain meds from now on I feel awful !

it looks so good to me... and you know, i'd you've ever 'over done' or had surgery, its usually the third day that's the worst.. even when I brought Hank home from his surgery the vet mentioned that. Also to even be more cautious/protective of his 'actions' at that time so part of that might have been in play for your girl... glad to see feeling better and handling her own management ;)
