My bulldog Mr. Chubbs is one year old. We have been battling issues with his tail all along. It is corkscrew and right up against his body. It has always had yeast I'm sure. We wipe it almost everyday, or at least every other day, with MalAcetic wipes or with standard pet bath wipes. Our vet briefly mentioned that he may benefit from a tail amputation to rid him of the problem and eliminate the source of the problem. Any thoughts or personal experience with this?
He developed aspiration pneumonia after being neutered and spent the night in the doggie hospital so I'm worried that any other surgery may put him at risk of that again. Any elective surgery I am leaning towards not doing after that experience.
