Pippy went into surgery mid afternoon. Dr said she did great with the GA and woke up an hour later without incident. She now has a rather large corneoconjunctival transposition. A graft. She wears the cone of shame for 10-14 days, until the graft is set. Dr says we were lucky that we caught it soon. He also said that she has early osigns of dry eye so she'll be getting tacrolimus drops going forward.
FWIW, we shelled out $1730 for the two Vet visits and the surgical repair. I think we did very well. This whole deal could have been sooo much worse...I'm very thankful. Thanks to everyone for the kind thoughts and well-wishes. That may have made the difference. It sure helped me feel better knowing you guys were pulling for her/us.

Thanks so much for keeping us up to date. I'm so glad that things went as well as it did and the little one will just have to bear up with the cone. You're so good to those kids of yours. They're lucky to have You

OMG, she's sitting with me in my, no, our recliner...ripping farts. I feel every one of them...just seconds before I smell them. It's awful. Usually I would make her get out but not tonight. Anybody got a clothes pin, a gas mask, an aqualung?! Help!
