Good evening.
Sorry for the following essay.
I have posted on here before about Lola's skin.
A few weeks ago it got worse and worse. Her skin was red/pink and with small raised lumps that were red.
Some lumps were scabby also. It was mainly located on her shoulder.
After 4 visits to the vets they decided it was her diet and suggested (Fishmongers finest) that helps with skin conditions.
Lola struggles to eat it and when she finally manages to eat it her stomach rumbles like she has an upset stomach.
I must admit, since changing her food her skin has improved, but it's still pink on her shoulder but doesn't look as aggressive as before.
She has some scabby lumps around her back and her skin is really sensitive on her lower back. She will twitch/shudder when touched sometimes.
I'm completely lost with her diet.
I have tried 3/4 different types now.
She had Royal Canine Bulldog since she was born. We only changed her diet because she had tear staining.
Her skin and coat used to be beautiful. She would shine and looked so healthy.
Her nose rope was clear and healthy as well, where as now it's pink/red and looks sore sometimes.
Should I go back to Royal Canine?
I can't afford to keep going backwards and forwards to the vets to be told things I already know.
The last tablets she had did nothing at all, the time before she had steroids which cleared everything up but as soon as she came off them
she went back to the way she was before them.
She obviously hates the food we give her now, and looks so miserable sometimes.
The only fortunate thing is that she isn't scratching.
I really need some help with this.
I have people giving me mixed reviews on Royal Canine Bulldog, but she looked so healthy and was so happy on that diet.
Sorry for the essay, but I chose a bulldog because I wanted to give her a happy and healthy life. She means the world to me.
