As far as I could understand, it was under a bone which he had to remove a tiny portion of, and it was hairs that was causing the infection (kind of like ingrown hairs). Weird. He is confident this will take care of it so I really hope he is right. They have sent a culture off to make sure everything else has been cleared up and he will be sent home with painkillers and antibiotics. I can pick him up after lunch tomorrow.
Thank you for the good wishes and prayers. It helps.
I was getting so worried! Happy to hear they found the issue and the boy is coming home for a quick recovery!

I picked Monty up today and he is quite chipper all things considered! He has two drains and looks a bit of a mess but it will look better when I clean him up a bit.

Another butt shot for your enjoyment!! I am just so pleased he is OK and home.

Monty is very restless tonight. He was given Rimadyl and it just isn't helping. I had some left-over Tramadol so I gave him one and will call the Vets in the morning. He doesn't know what to do with himself, poor buddy.
