- Miss Paisley Marie Bamboozler
Hey everyone, I am new to the English bulldog news website, just signed up today. Anyways, I have a three and a half year old English Bulldog. Her name is Miss Paisley Marie Bamboozler and we call her Paisley, or Paisley Girl. We have had her since she was 8 weeks old and we love her to death as she is part of our family.
On October 5th, she woke up and had terrible swelling that was very soft in her throat, very large. She was very active, playful, and her normal self the say before. She was reluctant to eat that morning. I took her to our vet, who she had went to since birth, and they done a blood test, x rayed her, and did a standard exam by looking down her throat and what not. She had a high white blood cell count. They put her on two types of antibiotics for 10 days.
After about 3 days, the swelling in the throat went away, but her lymph nodes were still very swollen and firm. She also has diareaah now at this point. After the 10 days were up, she developed a cloudiness in her eyes which look blue. Her rectum is also inflamed slightly now at this point. We take her back to the vet, they do another blood test and the white blood cell count is good, right were it should be. They conduct another exam and then take a biopsy from her lymph nodes and send to the lab.
Today, she threw up three times. She is not herself, eyes seem to hurt her, hacks a lot, especially when she is active, which she isn't very often right now. She still eats well and normal but will not drink water unless I pour it in her mouth. Still haven't got the results back from the biopsy yet.
We are just so worried. She's so young, lives in the house, eats grain free food, has heart worm and flea pill every month, and both parents are still alive at 7.
