Amen to the ant hill! Hotel all the way for us. Unless we had the horrible hotel in Canada we stayed at last time. I would've rather roughed it in the gourge than stay there again! Freakin air wouldn't work and we had to call maintenance twice a day. I'm like look, dude, we have a bulldog in that room, she better have icicles hanging from her nose when we get back or your POUTINE!
My idea of the Ideal campsite has a Hilton sign out front.
My idea of a not so ideal one (and the ones we stay at most often) has a Motel6 sign out front.
But that's as low as I go.
To be honest, I'm one of those people that would rather be, as you so eloquently put it, lol.. "tied to an anthill covered in honey" rather than to camp.
My idea of a perfect vacation is: Being waited on hand and foot, while in a private villa on the beach in the Mediterranean somewhere.
I won't leave Blue with anyone while he's a puppy. I also can't imagine just living in a tent or cabin with no private bathroom for a week. So we rented an RV at this place. To be honest, I'm a little scared.
This to me is "roughing" it. But hey, at least I have my bathroom .
Blueberrys Mom wow, thanks so much for posting about this place in upstate NY. Linnet will be thrilled and will probably want to book something for next year. We've never heard of this place, and we don't go anywhere without Momo.
bluesteelapd You're welcome. I researched a bunch of places before deciding on this one. It really looked like the best option for a lazy bulldog..lol @agingermom I hope you're right and it is fun. I've never done anything like this before.
I had plenty of "camping" for 22 years while on active duty. Now, camping for me is a five star hotel with a hot breakfast included that comes directly to my hotel room. No more sleeping on the ground in a sleeping bag and my family would be doing good to get me in an RV. I want all the conviences of modern day living when I go camping. hehe!
