I have a question on calculating when your bulldog should have a C section.... My vet said 57 days from the day after her progesterone level says she is out. so Cadi was last AI'ed on May 4th and on May 6th she was out so they counted day one as May 7th. This making day 57 on July 2nd. Now my vet is out of town on a family emergency and his partner now say it may be as early as June 30 or July 1st. He is counting day one as May 5th.... He said he will take a progestrone level and I am taking temps. I just want the puppies to have as much time in mom as they can, to give them the best start in life as possible.
What are your ideas on this.

I think 57 days is too early.

I am not an expert, but we waited for 60 or 61 days from the +progesterone. So, yes, I would say 57 may be a bit early. I would not even "schedule" it at all, I would just wait for the temp drop, and then take her in when it does.

Make sure you discuss with your vet and any on call vets that ALL the pups need to be out quickly, 15-20 minutes or less!
