Looking into color testing. Some of the tests arenít necessary but Iím a little overwhelmed on which tests I actually should do. Should I go and ahead and do a full panel color testing + Merle test on both of them? Should obvious merles even get color tested? Help. Iíve been googling and looking through Facebook groups and forums and canít seem to find the answer Iím looking for. Please excuse my ignorance, but why is colour testing necessary? Is it for breeding purposes only?

Some of us do colour testing to insure not to get the Breed standard's undesired colours and some do to get them.
