Why is my Bulldog so big . . .?

Maximus will be 6-months old. He weighs 40-lbs. He is huge. I just don't recall ever seeing a bulldog quite this large, and now I'm curious to find out how big everyone else's Bulldog is ...?
Maximus is long - 2-ft.+ in length. He's just a very big boy, and I'm told he will get bigger!
So, how large is your Bulldog . . . ?

Stompers last check in at the vet was 68 pounds at 11 months..Stomper is a female..

Orion is just over a year and she is 35 pds. Vegas is slightly taller and longer than your typical bulldog and he last weighed in at 68 pds.

I always thought Samson was the appropriate weight for a male bulldog, 55 lbs, but compared to everyone else it doesn't seem like it! Dogbreedinfo.com says male bulldogs are normally 53-55 lbs.

Yes females are generally 45 and males 55lbs.

Horse is 4, and about 65 lb. (vet appt tomorrow, so i will know for sure then). he's longer and taller than a lot of bullies!

Chester is almost 7 months old and weighs 40 lbs. He isn't quite 2 feet long. He looks appropriately sized, big shoulders and a big head. A month ago I thought he was too small, but he had a bit of a growth spurt the past couple weeks.

Not sure about 6 months but when we got Cutty at 9 months he was 50 pounds and I thought he seemed a bit smaller than most the other bullies I had seen before so your Maximus sounds right on track maybe.

I'm not sure how tall or long Tuffy is. He's bred to be short and stout...He's 8 months old and currently 49 lbs. I'm sure he has a few more pounds to pack on but he probably won't get much taller.

My TAZ is 68lbs and 17in to the shoulder. He is taller than a lot of bullies too, but it also makes him a good stud and I don't have to inseminate!

Faith weighs 15lbs at 3months old.

Chelios weighs 65lbs at a little over a year. He doesn't look that big tho. He's got a little waist, && is a bit taller then most bullys.

leroy is 18 months old he weight 69 he is so beautiful a friend explain me that the english bulldog from europe are more bigger , and no matter if you bulldog is bigger they need insemination thats the safety way cause they can have a hearth attack and die , and the female can get hurt if the bulldog is too big
