I gave each of mine a Benebone, a plastic wishbone-shaped bone. They are aggressive chewers and now I see that they are chewing them down. I found a few plastic particles on the floor but I assume some of that is getting into them, which alarms me. A little internet reading (I know, not always reliable) indicates that these bones are not safe, ingesting plastic plus hard on the teeth. I've also read that the real bones sold at the pet stores are also unsafe for any dog. Sooo... what do your BD's chew on?

Totally understand your concern—I had the same issue with Benebones and Nylabones. My vet warned about tooth fractures and GI issues from ingesting plastic. I’ve switched to rubber toys like the classic Kong, filled with frozen peanut butter or treats. They’re durable, softer on teeth, and keep my dog busy. Also, Himalayan yak chews have worked well—long-lasting and more digestible. Definitely worth asking your vet for personalized suggestions too.

Beef marrow bones and they help clean teeth. Just be sure to not cook it any. I keep them up in the freezer

I purchased 2 Kong classics yesterday for the boys. Since both are on diets right now, I didn’t put treats in them. After a couple of bounces, they both scarfed up each other’s toy and chomped down on them. So if they’ll play without treats, that would be great!

I might try those again. I have beige carpet & they do make a mess. šŸ˜•
I have many throws as blankets for the dogs. One’s always on the double leather sofa. That’s what I use when I need to go out for many hours for Sadie the German Shepherd. They like their throws.

The girls both love the "kong extreme ring"
