Hi everyone new here we are now a proud mum and dad to a gorgeous little English bull dog male he is 10 weeks old. His name is Junior. Junior is a great little guy but he gets riled up very easily and when he does he will start growling quite aggressively and snap for us and bite which is sore totally understand our new bubs is teething and itā€™s a lot of change for him. We have had him for 2 weeks, I am just not sure how to go about the lunging biting and growling so was wondering if anyone had any advice I have 3 small children at home and want a happy healthy bully. Thanks guys x

It is normal puppy behavior to play like that, but you need to make sure you are always giving a strict sounding "No Bite!" and then immediately put something into their mouth that they are allowed to bite onto. If they continue then play stops immediately and you need to give the puppy some alone time.

Thanks so much. Thatā€™s what we are doing just now and he has lots and lots of various types of toys to keep him occupied another few days and he is allowed out for walkies.

Welcome to EBN. Jr is adorableā€¼ļø Yes like mentioned itā€™s puppy behavior. You got to stay on top of it. Puppies love small children as theyā€™re short n perfect height to play with. I donā€™t know how old your children are but if they are old enough, talk to the kids too so the whole household are all on the same page to break Jrā€™s bad habits. You might want to give him raw marrow bones like the photo attached and not a joint or knee as his poop will be hard n crumbly. Feed it from frozen as itā€™s great for them baby shark teeth. Marrow is extremely healthy. It will keep him occupied for a few hours.

Welcome to EBN! yep, typical puppy behavior... get on top of it as others have said and use "nothing in life is free" method of training, it is easy and even the kids can use it to teach commands.
