Is bear too small??

So I really just want other's opinions but I feel like Bear is so tiny, he's less than 20 inches at the shoulder but was 50 pounds last time we weighed him at the vet. (she had us cut back his food so he stays on the slimmer side). She also remarked on how compact he is she told us all his weight is in his chest, lol. But every other bulldog I've met has been massive and everyone who meets bear talks about how small he is. I'm just wondering if y'all think he's normal, mini, stunted or anything else! (His first birthday is February 8!) The photo of bear and his big sister Emma was from October I believe!! And the one with his new cousin plum was taken December 20th!! Also plum (the black puppy) was 6 pounds when that photo was taken for reference!! The other two are just to show how his body looks different in different positions!!

I don't think it's anything to worry about, he's still young... it takes about 3 years for bullies to reach full potential. Typically they grow up and then out... Lol

My Willow is tiny... only weighing about 40 pounds. The vet said she could be a mini version, but both of her parents were normal sized.

I think Bear looks great! He sounds like he's about the same size as Gilbert. Gilbert is only about 20 in at the top of his head ..lol and weighs in between 56-58. Definitely ALL chest!

Bears mom was pretty compact when we met her now that I think about it! His dad was by far larger!! My mom took the photos of his parents but you can see their size pretty good I think!! Also baby bear for the win

I think baby Bear is perfect... you have done a fantastic job of taking good care of him

If he is healthy and happy, then you should be happy,too, and don't worry! He will fill out more the next 2 years!

Agree with above… give it till Three years old… they all grow differently and come in all sizes

Porkchop is smaller in height (14" at the withers) than other bulldogs we've seen. I never saw his parents as he's a rescue. He weighs in at 44 lbs at 11 yrs old. Whenever he seems to be getting where I can't see his "waist", I hold back a little kibble and replace it with steamed broccoli which he loves. My vet said his long life might be because he has never been fat, something she sees way too often in other bulldogs.
