Maggie
My name is Heather and my bullie is Maggie. We fostered her through Georgia English Bulldog Rescue and decided to adopt her. She's 8 months old and a bundle of energy. We love her to pieces. She is our second bullie, we had a male for 10 years, bought him as a puppy and he is so dearly missed. Losing him was the most gut wrenching experience of my life, worse than going through treatment for cancer. I never thought I could love another dog as I did my Louie. Maggie is so similiar but so different, she's such a gift. It's been 10 years since we had a puppy so I sort of feel like a newbie again. At the moment, I'm trying to decide on a bed for her. She's crated at night and while we're not home. We are still working with her on chewing toys (we have 2 kids) and shoes.

Looking forward to being part of the community:)

Welcome to EBN!!! I cant imagine the pain of losing my fur kids!! Glad you found Maggie and provided her a forever home!!

Hi Heather & Maggie :welcome3: to EBN .. so sorry about the loss of your beloved Louie but he brought you to Maggie to help heal your heart ... glad you are Maggie's new mommy and have come to EBN.

Welcome to EBN! Always so nice to hear when someone chooses to adopt :) It's been almost 7 years since I've had a puppy myself so I can't provide any advice but so happy you joined us!!!

Welcome to the site. Sorry for your previous loss. We would consider a second also but would like a rescue close to home.

Ah, yes. Shoes. I have shoe issues. My husband does not. I think it just comes with time. I have to remind my bullies to leave it. They are both around 1 and 1/2 (2 months apart). They do have a way of worming themselves into your heart, don't they?

:hiya: Heather and Maggie! I'm so sorry for your loss. Many here have been through the same and it is a truly wrenching time. But..you and Heather found each other. I bet Louie helped guide her to you. I feel your pain on the new puppy stuff! It had been over 20 years for us to have a new pup when Jake came home. I stressed like a new kin kid! Poor guy...lol..well make yourself at home...enjoy!

hello and welcome to EBN and your return to the wonderful world of bulldogs!

so sorry for the loss of Louie, remember he is always with you and is waiting at the rainbow bridge for you. I lost my boy a little over a year ago, still is very painful without him physically with me

Now, where are the :pics:
