Well, it was to be a simple removal of two small cysts that burst and grow back, but not how it went down. She’s fine and mending but breathing is a challenge today.. going back to have her nasal cavity cleared to help her breathe better.

Long story very short… her airway was a disaster, if she were in a very hot day just standing outside, he said, “her condition is where a dog drops dead with no signs”.

She is eating like a champ and wants to sleep but can’t right now… we will get her all fixed up and hopefully see a whole new side of her.

Prayers and positive thoughts are always appreciated ❤️❤️

I hope Eleanor recovers quickly. Its heart breaking when something does not play out as you expected it to. Good luck!

It’s been a rough recovery… her nasal cavity is blocked again so going back to vet today. She didn’t eat all her breakfast so I’m concerned about pneumonia setting in therefore not chancing it and going back in for a check 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Yes, she was already on an antibiotic but they changed over to two others because she is at the beginning stage of pneumonia 🙁

We go back on Monday for a follow up.

I seem to remember from another thread , you have a lot of trust in your Vet. Everyone on the Forum are sending positive thoughts, for Eleanor. (y)

I hope she recovers quickly, she has the best mummy to look after her.

It has been an incredibly rough recovery for her. We were at the vet every single day once she came home the tissue in her nostrils kept growing back and clogging her passage so we had to go back each day to have it removed. She wasn’t sleeping at night. She could barely breathe. I was doing steam bath vaporizer warm compress on her nose. Anything that she would let me do we were doing

She did have pneumonia, but we caught it so early that the stronger antibiotics knocked it out.

But here we are today, Friday the 20th and she looks and sounds and feels fantastic. It was a rough week a very rough week but she’s doing phenomenal. We go back Monday to have all her stitches removed for the real reason that she went in for surgery, which was to have a cyst removed. Thank you for all the well wishes thoughts and prayers. It’s greatly appreciated.

Yes, we have a fantastic relationship with our vet and a great friendship with a vet tech that works at the practice. The support and care couldn’t be any better. We are so blessed to have them

Thank you… it really was scary at times. Our vet was amazing with supportive care .. even was ready to meet us at the clinic on a Sunday his only day off because of how bad it was for Eleanor

Christine, when her stitches come out, do a lighter version of eucalyptus oil in your diffuser where she sleeps. It’s going to help her open her airways and lungs. Well you know me and oils. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Just a thought. ❤️
