Hi everyone
Looking to swap Debo onto a raw diet, at the moment heās on hills Science Plan dried/kibble but after a lot of reading and researching we want to get him on raw food
Thereās a raw food shop close by that sells it all and does in 500g boxes and 1kg bags which is ideal but I just have a few questions
1) heās been tried on chicken dried/kibble food and also chicken treats and cooked chicken and all of them donāt seem to agree with him as they come out quicker than they went in and very runny so my question is would raw have the same effect?
2) the raw food shop is saying on week 1 that heāll just get meat with no offel or bone and as each week progresses it will get introduced to his raw and I think by week 3 heāll have bone in his raw but I know the bone is to firm up his stool so is this correct or should he have bone in it from the day he starts?
3) Debo really eats his food quick so Iām worried about him choking when heās on raw especially with the bone, will he naturally learn to eat it slower to avoid this or if not does anyone have any suggestions
4) also is it normal to change the meat in the raw food every 5-7 days like the shop says or do you guys keep them on the same once you find one they like and are comfortable with?
Thanks everyone
P.S Debo is 6 months old
