Hi All
I just found out from my local vet after having an x-ray that BEAR has a slight tear in his ACL. He's only 2 1/2 years old. He limps a little, but it doesn't seem to bother him. I can't get in to see the specialist till April 1 who is three hours away from me since I live in the country. Any thoughts of what I can do in the meantime and will this ever get better on its own? I have him on one gabapentin in the morning and one carprofen at night..any suggestions greatly appreciated

Weight is crucial when this happens, and sometimes can be the cause of the problem. If Bear is overweight, try and get it down, I know its a big ask with BBDs, but it is important, and Bear is not that old, and you certainly don't want the other, to go the same way. If it is a small tear yes it could heal, it just depends, rest is the key, the Vet should have given you some insight to this. Good luck!

I can’t stress enough how this recipe works wonders. Nyala had a bad back leg limp. Had no clue how or why. It just appeared outta nowhere. I think my German Shepherd played rough with her outside and I didn’t see it. Put her on the recipe below and took 3 days for her limp to disappear. I did also massaged her leg with some fractionated coconut oil mixed with peppermint and frankincense.

Yes, turmeric paste , rest, no jumping or stairs, and if he has extra weight try to shed a pound or two
