    Lincoln's Major Skin Improvement!

Hello all, I posted awhile back about an issue that Lincoln was having with his skin. I went through a couple antibiotic treatments and countless medicated baths with no real significant improvement. He has suffered from these really strange crusty/scaly bumps on his skin ever since he was...

    Nose rope..

This actually doesn't look all that bad. My Lincoln has a HUGE nose rope, and it does require attention. I usually wipe it clean 2-3x a week with Witch Hazel and then top with diaper rash ointment.

Crusty & Scaly Skin - Allergies or Infection? (Pics)

Well, I spoke too soon :( I was hopeful in seeing improvement, but after a full month of antibiotics, medicated baths 2-3x a week (with bleach rinse), he has no improvement. See pictures below. Back to the drawing board I suppose. I am going to give him some time off from meds for now and then...

    Picky Eaters... Who's Got One?

Hello Everyone! I am wondering who here has dealt with their Bulldogs being picky eaters? It sounds so foreign to me that ANY bully would be a picky eater, but my Lincoln is for sure a picky eater, and he has been since he was a puppy. I've been experimenting with different foods lately, and I...

Help Needed! Front Legs are Turned Out

This is what my breeder recommended as well. I switched Lincoln from puppy food to adult food at 4 months old.

Crusty & Scaly Skin - Allergies or Infection? (Pics)

Just a quick update - it's been almost 1 week on Cephalexin and medicated baths 3x a week. I believe he is showing signs of improvement. The spots are shrinking in size and it appears the hair is slowing come back. Keeping my fingers crossed.

What a handsome boy you have there! I don't think this is anything to be alarmed about. My Lincoln has a similar stance.

Crusty & Scaly Skin - Allergies or Infection? (Pics)

I just received a call back from the vet today. They ran a culture and it is a bacterial infection (not yeast related). They wanted to do a culture test to determine which antibiotic would be the most effective. He will be on cephalexin for the next 30 days, along with chlorhexidine gluconate...

Crusty & Scaly Skin - Allergies or Infection? (Pics)

I think staph is definitely the consensus, including my breeder. She recommends cephalexin for 4-6 weeks, coupled with chlorhexidine baths. I am taking him in on Saturday for evaluation/treatment. In the meantime, I will start adding some ACV/yogurt/salmon oil to his food and continue giving him...

Thank you both for the reply. Do you think I should take him straight to a dermatology specialist (we have one in my area) or my regular vet?

Crusty & Scaly Skin - Allergies or Infection? (Pics)

Hello all, My poor Lincoln, who is 2.5 years old, has something going on with his skin. I can describe the spots as crusty/dry and scaly (see photos). They don't seem to bother him all that much and are not red/itchy, but they are causing hair loss and excessive shedding. I have been using...
