My Willow just had the surgery several months ago... my vet actually removed it and she is doing great. Just make sure that your vet is familiar w/EBD... they can have issues w/anesthesia, so it's best to have a vet that knows what they are doing. If you look in the search engine for cherry eye you will find many threads regarding this, it's very common in the breed.
