  • if they each have a crate.... it is great crate time activity. If not, place them in separate rooms and then pick them all up before letting them be together again
It has been a success for us with all 4 pups for nearly 10 yrs. -- they love them and are pretty tired when they are done. Lambeau is getting a little guarding with his, so we have been working with him by taking it off of him while he is chewing, place it on the counter where he can see it, wait a few minutes, place him in a sit/stay and then give it back. I once went to take it from him and he growled, so we will have none of that... belly up he went and he lost the bone. Just something to watch for if you try them
Marrow bone are raw... never cooked (they splinter). I buy them with the marrow in them and some meat on the bone from the local grocery store (some call them soup bones). Once the pups finish all the meat/marrow, I rinse them and stuff with peanut butter and into the freezer till I need one. Some just go right to the trash can too... others I rinse and leave out for them t just grab and chew on when they want to
wonder if I could send them.... the B/F gets a box or two every month -- I'll talk with him tonight and see if there is a way to ship them up to you ;)
Not corny at all.... you know your girl and what she would have accepted into the pack. Your a good man with a great heart
You did the day up right.... good scotch and lots of loving from the kiddos. Willow we come around, give her some time they do grieve just as we do, but I think it hurts us more to see them grieve. Cheli was horrible when Banks' past, it was totally heart breaking, which is why we got Lambeau so soon after her passing - Cheli would not interact with us and would literally eat and go right back to bed... he searched for her for a day or two, then went into the depression. :( It took him two weeks to warm up to Lambeau, but now, a year later they are best buds. Good luck with the floor today... try not to over do it. Congrats on the anniversary.... what a wonderful achievement -- you are both very blessed to have such a wonderful relationship. My best to you for continued love and success!
Morning Nat -- just checking n to see how you are doing today? I agree with all you stated regarding the gang here at EBN, when I lost my two babies, Nitchke and Banks this was also my place of comfort... out pouring of support and understanding can't be beat. As for the pups, they sure are amazing creatures, they know when it is time to show support and comfort to us, even without words.
You know the pain too well and that is why you are second guessing... enjoy everything about her today and give her all the love and kisses you can stand. Know we are all with you today and supporting you
Thinking of you guys today… :heartsign: I'm SO very sorry you are having to go thru this...
sending lots of love and hugs out to you all today.... prayers to help you along. Let us know if you need anything
