When I read the subject, i thought you had the same problem my wife and I have, Winston loves to eat rabbit poo. Winny sniffs our rabbit droppings like a pig sniffs out truffels.
Winston had this and it took three surgeries to get it under control. His Uretha came out pretty bad so we attempted to secure it back in place with a stich. The stich broke so we had to attemp to secure it again with four stiches. The idea is that when you put in place, eventual the uretha...
My wife and I have a bi-nightly ritutal where we take cotton balls, try te wrinkles first, then use hydorgen peroxide to kill bacteria, and then powder with corn starch. Winstons got realy bad like yours and we found after a couple nights of this, he was looking better. Once you get a routine...
We use a harness on Winston on long walks and when we go out in public or where there might be other dogs, not that he is aggressive, but wants to play with everyone and every dog he sees. If we're just going for a short walk around the condo so he can go the bathroom, then we just use his...
Winston had the same problem. He was completely immobile from the waste down and could barely stand to go the bathroom with my assistance. Turned out to be a compressed disk due to Hemivertabrae, common in curly tailed dogs. If you have not already I recommends x-rays to detrmine if it is a...
My Wife and I have somewhat similar problem, without the pooping int he house. The new neighbors in the condo next to ours keeps their pit bull on the back patio almost all the time. Winny and the Pit have played before, she is pretty well behaved and non aggressive, a little rough, but no...
Why are you taking him back? Winston had pnemonia at 13 wks, it is very common in brachisophalic dogs. They just gave him antibiotics to take for 21 days and he way fine. he is 7 months now and is in great health. He'll be fine.
I would get a second opinion. If you go the Bulldog Club of America Website they have a list of vets in the area who are bulldog experts (not sure if your vet is on or not). They might be able to tell you if the surgery is necessary. We had his nose holes widened to help with breathing, but...
I have not been very pleased with Petco trainers. When we first got Winston we took him to Petsmart for Puppy training. Lisa was very respectful of our dog and did not over step her boundries as a trainer. We too Winston to Petco for intermediate training because it had just been built across...
Sometimes Winston get's the Devil in him and starts to run around the house, jumping on furniture, and nipping/biting at my wife and I. When he starts to get this way I put him in Time Out to calm down. He usually just goes to sleep.
As you can imagine there are a lot Winstons out their in the Bulldog world, however my wife and I used to joke that he looked like a Pig in a Blanket...so...that became his AKC name.
Winston has a scrunched up tail and luckily it sits about a centimeter or two up, so it's not so tight. None the less we wipe his butt every time he is done pooping and then every other night we clean in between the folds in his tail with a baby wipe.
We use the Royal Canin 32 Medium Puppy since we recieved Winston at 9 wks, he is almost 7 months now, and what i noticed was that his stool was soft and drippy in the begining, but a few weeks in and he was having more solid stools. Now all his stools are solid, and we have had no other heath...
I feel your pain, Winston likes to chew the branches and knock off the bulbs, and worse, he likes to chew on the Power Chord for the lights. Recently he realized he could unravel the ribbon we have going around the tree. It's an on going battle.
